Halim cuisine came to Hyderabad from the Arab country of Persia. The 6th Nizam Nawab Mahaboob Ali Khan convened a crucial meeting to strengthen the police system in his province. Special invitees came from Persia for this meeting. Mention is made of a special dish prepared for Iftar during Ramadan fasting. Immediately Nawab Shahi Dastar summoned the Khana staff and prepared it. The same Halim. Introduced from Persia.
